Happy new year to all our readers, including the many new subscribers joining us toward the back end of 2025. The past twelve months saw us travel far and wide to bring you some of the world’s best-presented classic Porsches. We rounded out the year in Australia, where we sampled a variety of the southern hemisphere’s air-cooled cars. We’re looking forward to heading back Down Under not long after this issue of Classic Porsche heads to print. The Adelaide Motorsport Festival awaits, as does the 917/30 featured in these pages a few months ago. Formerly the most expensive private commission Porsche had ever undertaken, the car was built from an unused chassis and is now regularly strutting its stuff on Antipodean race tracks, including the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, host to Australia’s annual historic motorsport gathering.
