In this issue we start by looking at ten cars for £10k; from the 420 to the XE, from the XJS 4.0 to the XK, they’re all highly desirable cars. Next is a well-used Eagle E-Types & Speedster E-type FHC with a fascinating history. We then look at the rare S-TYPE Sport 200 before investigating the Lynx Eventer prototype that was owned for the majority of its life by musician Rupert Hine. We then drive a beautiful C-type tool-room copy that’s correct in every way and before looking at a fabulous but unrestored Mk 2 that has spent the last four decades in storage. In the workshop section we explain how to fix a noisy rear wheel bearing on an X-TYPE while Classic Motor Cars Limited shows us routine service checks on a Daimler Sovereign 4.2 Series 3.
