The latest issue in the series again features a selection of period black and white pictures, originally taken to accompany press stories of the day, which are also quoted in its pages. The pictures show many different buses and coaches at work from the early post-war years to the 1960s, plus some later motor show views. A range of independents, municipals and company operators, from across the UK, from Bournemouth to Dundee, is covered.

As well as a host of interesting shots of vehicles, including rear views, bus stations, garage and workshop scenes, there are many interesting comments on running bus services in different circumstances, a lot on problems which would not surprise a modern bus operator, notably from the independents. A feast of nostalgia for bus enthusiasts, with many pictures never seen before and much of interest besides.
