What's in the issue

Our special theme is additives: vitamins, minerals and other boosts for our birds. In addition to an overview of this complex subject (which all birdkeepers need to understand), regular  writers tell us which products have been working recently for them. We also get some specific advice on minerals for parrots, and take a walk back to last century to find out when and how the "additive business" first developed. Then we turn to softbills: we find out who’s breeding what and how it’s been going, and also have a taste of some exquisite small species from Japan - dream birds for fanciers! We have update bulletins on colour budgies and Border canaries, and also hear how a first-time breeder of Gouldian finches is faring.
