British Road Services is now sadly missed by many enthusiasts, whatever their other interests. BRS lorries were instantly recognisable everywhere for the best part of 30 years. The bright red livery in which most of them were painted certainly helped but, as a national concern, the vehicles of BRS were seen all over the country, along with those of BRS Parcels, Pickfords and other parts of the group. This enthusiasm would seem surprising to some people, considering the opposition to nationalisation of road transport in the late 1940s, but the British Transport Commission and its subsidiaries were a major part of the transport scene in the early post-war years, and tend to create warm nostalgic feelings these days.

Depending on the publishing cycle and the time of your order this could be 1-6 weeks for monthly titles, up to 3 months for quarterly titles and 1 to 2 weeks for weekly publications. Delivery of the above items is usually made within 14 days to European countries and 28 days for other countries. But please allow extra time during busy periods such as Christmas. Many of the items are mailed via recorded delivery service and are traceable.
