World of Ships 16
OLYMPIC, TITANIC & BRITANNIC
White Star Line
White Star Line’s answer to Cunard's Blue Riband-winning Lusitania and Mauretania was the trio of Olympic, Titanic and Britannic. The largest ships in the world at the time, they had varied careers. Olympic sailed ‘till 1935, before being scrapped, while Titanic and Britannic were both lost, the former by collision with an iceberg, and the latter by a German mine. They were the finest superliners of their time and this comprehensive book features many photographs of the ships throughout their careers.
